Jasper Motorsports Names Pemberton New Crew Chief

Jasper Motorsports announced today that Ryan Pemberton will take over the Crew Chief duties next year for the #77 Jasper Engines Fords driven by Robert Pressley. The team made the announcement from Homestead Motorsports Complex.

"We're excited," says team owner Doug Bawel. "Our sponsors are excited, our team is excited and Robert is excited. Ryan Pemberton is a proven winner on the Winston Cup circuit. His track record speaks for itself with 2 outside poles, 2 top-fives, 31 top-tens and six pole positions to his credit. We couldn't be happier," he added.

Driver Robert Pressley echoed the enthusiasm for the choice of Pemberton to lead the Jasper Engines-Federal Mogul Team. "This year we have struggled, no doubt," says Pressley. "It hasn't been a fair year to our team, so we can't wait to get started with Ryan, coming in here as a proven winner. This Jasper Engines team is capable of so much more than we have been able to show this year. With this addition, our performance from this point on will go a long way towards proving our potential," he added.

Ryan Pemberton, a member of the prestigious Crew Chief Club, comes to the Jasper Motorsports team after three years at the helm of the MB2 Motorsports M&M's Pontiac with driver Ernie Irvan, and more recently, Jerry Nadeau. "I'm looking forward to Daytona," said Pemberton. "I want to get started as soon as possible. I also really like the fact that I will be working with a Ford team again. With the drive train program at Jasper and Federal-Mogul's research & development programs, we have a chance to capitalize on a large scale. Robert Pressley is well known in this sport and I am anxious to work with him one-on-one so we can get this Jasper Engines Ford in contention."
