Burton Wins at New Hampshire

Jeff Burton took advatage of Tony Stewart's gamble to win the Jiffy Lube 300 at New Hampshire. Stewart and crew took a fuel milage gamble that backfired, Stewart's car ran out of gas with just over two laps to go. Burton would lead the final laps and take home the win.

Gordon Grabs Pole Number Six
Jeff Gordon will lead the field to the green flag for the sixth time in 1999, taking the pole position for the Jiffy Lube 300 at New Hamshire. Gordon's lap of 29.037 seconds, at 131.171 mph, broke the previous track record and beat out Rusty Wallace for the top starting spot. Following Gordon and Wallace, in row number two, is Bobby Labonte and Ken Schrader.
