Dodge to Pace Races at Miami

MIAMI (Oct. 29, 1999) – A new Dodge Intrepid ES will lead the 43-car NASCAR Winston Cup field to the green flag for the November 14 Pennzoil 400 Presented by Kmart at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Homestead-Miami Speedway announced today that Dodge will be the Official Pace Car for all NASCAR races at the 1.5-mile Speedway for the next fouryears.

The Pennzoil 400 Presented by Kmart will be the debut of NASCAR Winston Cup competition in South Florida. Homestead-Miami Speedway also annually hosts the NASCAR Busch Series finale, the November 13 HotWheels.com 300 at Miami, and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the Florida Dodge Dealers400.

The Dodge Intrepid ES will be featured as the Speedway’s official pace car. The redesigned Intrepid features the revolutionary cab-forward concept, which gives the roomy sedan the look, feel and spirit of a nimble sports car.

Tickets are still available for the November 11-14 weekend, with two-day tickets for the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Kmart and HotWheels.com 300 at Miami starting at $75. For additional information, call (305) 230-RACE.
