Biffle on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“Well, after Martinsville I’m pretty excited to go to Texas. Texas is one of my favorite tracks and it’s usually a pretty good race for us. We’ve had some bad luck there but we also walked away with a set of cowboy hats one time. I’d love to get a set for this new team. They’ve worked really hard all year and I am completely confident that even when we have a minor setback, they learn from it and get ready for the next weekend. We’re taking a brand new car this weekend but the way these cars are built so similar, I think we’ll be alright.”
Crew Chief Greg Erwin on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“We’re taking a brand new car to Texas this weekend. These cars are so similar now though that I feel pretty confident about taking it. We’ve done a ton of simulation with it just to get an idea of where we need to be with setup when we unload and I think our notes from Vegas and Atlanta will help get us started as well. I know we’re going to have to focus on keeping it from being too free entering the corners because the cars are going to be so fast there, you can’t afford to lose speed anywhere. I think you may even see faster laps than Atlanta, which is usually one of the fastest on the circuit. We need to rebound from Martinsville and just take what we learned there to apply to the fall race. Greg has had success at Texas in the past so I feel confident that if we can give him a good car, he’ll take it to the front.”
