David Ragan on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“Short tracks are definitely my favorite to race at and Richmond pretty much tops my list. Short tracks like
Richmond are what I grew up racing and they really fit my driving style. Plus last year we earned our best
finish of the season at Richmond. I ran out of laps there at the end of the race, I had a fast car and I think I
could’ve caught those guys in front of me if I had a few more laps. Well maybe this time we’ll be able to do
it. I’ve had some great cars so far this season so I’m really excited to get to the track this weekend,
especially coming off such a good run at Talladega.”
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“David has been doing a great job this year. I think he’s really come a long way since last year and is
proving to everyone exactly why he was picked for this car. He proved it last weekend with a strong run at
Talladega and now we are heading to one of his best tracks this weekend. David likes the short tracks and
especially Richmond. We’re taking a brand new car which I think will be pretty fast, so we’ll see what
happens.”
