Roy McCauley, Crew Chief, No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger – “Track position, track position, track position. That might be the single most important key to winning here. Turning in the center of the corner is always important. But, I’ve seen teams have great handling race cars in-and-out of the corners and still not win the race here at PIR. Track position is key.”
Chris Carrier, Crew Chief, No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger – “Mechanical balance will be important. Keeping the balance where the driver can cut the car on entry when he wants to and making the front end respond. That will dictate how your corner exit is. Keeping rattlesnakes out of the pit box may be a bigger key.”
Kenny Francis, Crew Chief, No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger – “Good forward drive off the corner and getting your car to turn all day off will be key here at Phoenix. How the car works into the corner and getting good drive-off is always important.”
