Busch Quotes for week leading up to Martinsville Speedway
What do you think about coming to Martinsville this weekend?
“Hopefully we can run well there. It’s kind of a struggle for me to qualify there. I don’t tend to qualify well there. When the race comes around I seem to be able to race well. You know, we’ll see how it goes. I’ve got the Truck Series there and the Cup Series there, and I’m gonna run in both of those. So I think we should have some fun and hopefully be able to keep the momentum rolling.”

What makes Martinsville so unique and challenging to drive?
“Turns One and Two are a little bit tighter than [Turns] Three and Four. You go down into One and Two, you want to run the bottom of both corners, you know, down around the curbing there. And you let the car kind of get in there, ride the curb and then you’ve got to get a good, straight, hard shot up off the corner with good forward bite in order to go down the back straightaway. And it’s kind of the same thing into Turn Three except you can hold it out a little bit further and arch it in there a little more. And there’s a little bit of a transition period there. You go from the straightaway down into the corner just a little bit. Seems like there’s a little more banking in Three and Four than in One and Two. And then the exit of Four you got a little more leeway to get out towards the wall than you do off of Two. It’s a different racetrack on both ends, at least the way I drive it.”
