Biffle on racing at California Speedway:
“California and Michigan are probably my two favorite tracks. I’ve had a lot of success at California
Speedway in the Nationwide Series and we’ve run well there the last several times in the Cup car. We’re
taking a brand new car but it is very similar to one we tested in Vegas and we were really happy with that
one. My family usually makes it down to California for both races and I think they’re planning to be there
this weekend. We’re pretty happy with the way things turned out in Daytona and we’re definitely looking to
carry that momentum to California.”
Crew Chief Greg Erwin on racing at California Speedway:
“We’re taking a brand new car to California this weekend because we decided to save the one we took to
the test for Vegas. Greg (Biffle) felt that the car we tested ran better at Vegas but the car we’re taking to
California is basically an exact replica of that car, so I think we’ll be pretty good. At California Speedway,
we’ll focus on getting the car to turn. These new cars tend to be a little on the tight side, so we spent a lot
of time at the test trying to get them to turn like the old cars. This track is very tire abusive and temperature
sensitive, so we’ll have to make sure our race setup is best suited for the race conditions.”
