Dale Earnhardt Jr. was the story of the night for the 30th Running of the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona. Making his Hendrick Motorsports debut, Earnhardt Jr. led 47 of 70 laps in a hard-fought battle of two- and three-wide racing to capture the win in the 2008 edition of the race. Finishing out the top five was Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Reed Sorensen, respectively.

Kurt Busch to Start from Budweiser Shootout Pole
Kurt Busch will lead the 23-car field to the green flag in the 30th Annual Budweiser Shootout at Daytona this Saturday night. Busch won the top starting spot through a random draw that took place at the Speed Channel stage at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday night. Mark Martin will join Busch on the front row as he drew the second-place starting position.
