David Ragan on racing in the Sprint All-Star Challenge:
“Lowe’s Motor Speedway is an exciting track with a lot of speed and the All-Star weekend should be pretty interesting. With no points on the line everyone is just out trying to win some money and in my case trying to race my way into the main event. My pit crew had some great stops last week so it will be pretty cool to see how they do Thursday night in the pit crew challenge. Last year in the Open we had a really fast car, but got caught up in an incident on track and weren’t able to race our way in. I don’t plan on that happening again and I really think this year I can race my way in.”
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing in the Sprint All-Star Challenge:
“David has been doing a great job so far this season. Last year in the Open race he got into some trouble on the track and wasn’t able to race his way in. But he’s come a long way since a year ago and shouldn’t have any trouble this year. He had a good test a week ago at Charlotte so there’s no reason to think he can’t have a good run and make it into the All-Star race.”
