McMurray on racing in the Sprint All-Star Race:
“After a pretty good run in Darlington, I think all the guys on the No. 26 Crown Royal team are looking forward to a couple weeks at home in Charlotte. This weekend we have the Sprint All-Star race, and after our test session a couple of weeks ago, I think we really have a pretty good shot this coming weekend. The All-Star race is a perfect race – it’s 100 laps where the guys give it all – 100 percent effort into every lap, because when it comes down to it, we are not only racing for pride, but for a million dollars.

“At the Charlotte test, I feel like we had a pretty good car even when we had on older tires. We were able to post pretty good laps times during both the day and night sessions.

“The next couple of weeks are really nice being at home, especially for all of the crew guys. Hopefully, we’ll have a good run on Saturday night and can carry it over to next week in the Coke 600.”

Crew Chief Larry Carter on racing the Sprint All-Star Race:
“Obviously, it’s great being home for everyone. It’s always nice being at home, and being able to race in front of our family and friends. This season we aren’t in the position we wanted to be in entering the All-Star break, but I feel like we’ve had some really good runs to this point that have just ended with being caught up in a wreck. At the test, I really feel like as a company we learned a lot about this new car and how to pick up speed at these intermediate tracks. If we can take some of the information we learned last week and transfer that into the car we are taking, I think we’ll have a pretty good run this weekend.”
