Aaron's 499 - Kasey Kahne Notes

Kasey Kahne
No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger Race Facts
Aaron's 499 --- Talladega Superspeedway

Driver: Kasey Kahne
Team Director: Kenny Francis
Car Director: Rich Hubbs
Engineer: Keith Rodden
Team Owner: Ray Evernham
Chassis: No. 111
Info: The same chassis that Kahne drove to a seventh place finish in the Daytona 500.

KASEY KAHNE QUOTES:
“I like racing at Talladega, but I hate wrecking there. It’s so easy to get caught up in somebody else’s mess, but that’s part of racing at Talladega. If you’re not in one of the wrecks, it’s fun running that close together for 500 miles. It’s a hectic, but exciting day. Ray (Evernham) has put a big effort into making our restrictor-plate program better. The work everyone at Evernham Motorsports has put in on the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger will pay off. We’ve improved each year. We’re not there yet, but we’re real close.

“We’re disappointed with our performance this year. This season has been similar to two years ago, my second season in the No. 9 Dodge. We worked things out then and we’ll do the same this year. We’re close, real close.”
