The Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway will be Ryan Newman’s first NASCAR Cup race in the No. 12 Kodak Dodge Charger. This will be Newman’s 11th start at the 2.66-mile track and his 197th start in the Cup Series.

“Like every race at the superspeedways, you have to stay out of trouble. We’re taking the car that finished third at the Daytona 500 in 2006. We’ll be looking for some people to work with and hopefully earn a good finish on Sunday without getting caught up in a wreck.”
