WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE SAMSUNG 500 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES RACE AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, APRIL 15, 2007.

Jeff Gordon four times for 173 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Samsung 500. Gordon has now led at least one lap in each of the past six consecutive races. He has led 414 total laps this season

Gordon claimed the honor for the second time this season and is tied with Tony Stewart for the lead in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.

Gordon finished fourth in today’s race at Texas. He collected his third consecutive top-five finish and racked up his sixth top-10 in seven races this season.

Gordon leads the NEXTEL Cup Series championship standings by eight points over second-place Jeff Burton and 125 over third-place Matt Kenseth.
