Carl Edwards on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“I’m looking forward to going to Texas this week. I am really excited to get back into a car that I feel more comfortable in. Racing the COT was a lot of fun, but it’s definitely going to takes some time to get used to.”
“Going to a 1.5-mile track is a nice change of pace from the short tracks we've been racing at recently. We’ve not had the best runs the last couple weeks but I'm not going to let that get me down. I’ve had a lot of success at Texas throughout my career and I am hoping to continue that this weekend. Bob (Osborne, crew chief) and the guys have been working really hard all year and I am confident that the Office Depot team will be competitive this weekend.”
Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
"I am certainly looking to forward to returning to the “old” cars and the familiarity of the set-ups. We’re bringing a good car to Texas, the one that Carl raced in Fontana last September. It's not a brand new car, but we’ve made some significant chassis adjustments to it and worked on several different set-ups, so hopefully we’ll be fast from the start.”
“We’ve kind of been a victim of circumstance the past couple of races. Some risks we’ve taken didn’t really pay off and there have been small mishaps along the way. But, that’s racing; we’ve learned from it and moved on. I think we should run well at Texas. Carl and the entire Office Depot team have really been focused this year and are doing a fantastic job. I feel very confident in my guys heading into Texas.”
