SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“I enjoy going to Texas. The Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge had a couple of strong runs there last year. Our cars handle well at Texas and have a good balance to them. We will have to qualify for this race on time, meaning we will have to spend more time during practice working on qualifying trim rather than race trim. We will then be able to rely on my teammates, Kasey and Elliott, for some help in our race setups for Sunday.
“We will be back to racing our regular cars this weekend. Our Chargers have a familiar feel to them, like an old pair of shoes. The height is familiar, field of vision and depth perception are the same. We have had some good runs with the COT but I am looking forward to going back to what we are use to this weekend in Texas.”
QUICK FACTS:
Riggs had two impressive runs at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) last season, in the spring race he finished seventh after having a very strong car on the long runs.
In last year’s fall race at Texas, Riggs was running in the second position before being bumped from behind in the final ten laps, resulting in a spin and a 31st-place finish.
