WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE CHEVY ROCK & ROLL 400 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES RACE AT RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2007.

Jeff Gordon was the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race tonight at Richmond leading the race four times for 191 laps. Gordon has now led 1,033 laps in 18 races this season.

Gordon enjoys a two-race lead over Tony Stewart (7-5) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.

Gordon scored a fourth-place finish in the race, his 15th top-five of the season.

Gordon qualified for the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and will be seeded second, 20 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson.

DID YOU KNOW? In the 22 most recent races at Richmond, the driver leading the most laps has now scored 19 top-five finishes.

Gordon was also the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the race in the 2007 Crown Royal 400, leading 114 of 400 laps and also scored a fourth-place finish in the race. He led 305 of a possible 800 laps at Richmond this season.
