SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“We had a strong run going at Richmond in the spring race but an unscheduled stop caught the No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge down a lap. But the car was competitive and we will be looking for more of the same this weekend. I think our team is heading in the right direction and that we will see improvement between now and the end of the season. Richmond International Raceway is the type of track that Rodney (Team Director Rodney Childers) and I like to compete at so we will be looking to point things in the right direction this Saturday night.”

QUICK FACTS:

  • Riggs had a strong performance at Richmond this spring. He qualified third in the Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Avenger.
  • His best career finish at Richmond came at this race last fall where he finished 10th.
  • Riggs’ best finish of the year came in a COT race in Martinsville when he took the checkered flag in the eighth spot.
  • Riggs and the No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools team are 37th in owner points. They will still need to qualify for this week’s race on time.
