KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG'S/CARQUEST IMPALA SS: (ON MENTALLY GETTING PAST HIS ACCIDENTS AT TALLADEGA.) "It's a little more challenging than I thought. After the Busch Series wreck, I had to get back into the No. 5 CARQUEST/Kellogg's Chevy on Sunday and do it all over again. Our luck was just bad. The field was starting to get squirrelly with 60 (laps) to go and we had a good car. I was just minding my own business on the bottom of the track, just fading to the back of the pack being patient and waiting until it was time to make a move. Then something happened in the front (of the pack) and it sent cars shooting across the track. I had nowhere to go but into the side of the No. 13 car (Joe Nemechek). I took three more really hard hits before it was all over. It was just a tough weekend for both the No. 5 Busch and NEXTEL Cup efforts."
BUSCH: (ON THE IMPALA SS AT RICHMOND.) "The Hendrick Motorsports organization as a whole has been awesome with the new Impala SS. That's a testament to our research and development efforts. But even though we took the No. 5 CARQUEST/Kellogg's car to victory lane at Bristol, I'm still struggling with the car and getting it to turn better. They are tough (to drive)."
BUSCH: (ON HIS SUCCESSFUL PAST PERFORMANCES AT RICHMOND.) "In general it helps that we've done extremely well at Richmond in the Cup Series, but all those notes are going to be thrown out the window. I think the Nos. 24 and 48 are going to be really stout. We were just OK at the test, and even though I've run so well there in the past, I don't think it's going to matter this weekend in the Impala. We're taking the car we ran with at Phoenix so it's a good car. We just need to figure out the setup and go from there. We've been so close to victory every time we raced at Richmond, and I feel like we owe it to ourselves to win one."
