JUAN PABLO MONTOYA IN THE No. 42 TEXACO/HAVOLINE DODGE WAS THE RAYBESTOS ROOKIE OF THE RACE AT POCONO.
Note:
Montoya finished 16th and took Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the 10th time this season.
JUAN PABLO MONTOYA, No. 42 TEXACO/HAVOLINE DODGE: “It was okay. The car was okay. We’re struggling needing a little bit of horsepower. That’s where we are, we just need to make it better over the next few races.”
DAVID RAGAN, No 6 AAA FORD: “It was a long day. We started off not very good at all. It was just really, really tight. Then we cut that tire down under green and had to stop. Got down a lap, and once you get down a lap you just got a race in a little different mindset. It was fortunate to come out of here with a clean car without a lot of damage. We were around a lot of wrecks today. Our car wasn’t the best, but I put myself in that position when I wrecked my primary car on Friday. We had to do the best we could. It was certainly not the run we wanted. We feel like we can run in the top 10 or top 15 every week. There’s a little disappointment but we’ll put this one behind us, learn from it and try to move on.”
DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 BURGER KING TOYOTA: “This was just another disappointing day. We battled the handling on the car all day and just never could seem to get it where we needed to be. Then we lost fuel pressure and determined that the fuel pump broke – we had to come to the garage to get that replaced. We just can’t keep having these types of mechanical failures – it’s just frustrating. But I know everyone will keep working to get us where we need to be and we have to gain owner points and we can’t do that when we are in the garage early.”
