WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE POCONO 500 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES RACE AT POCONO RACEWAY, JUNE 10, 2007.

Denny Hamlin led five times for 49 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Pocono 500. Hamlin claimed the award for the second time this season. He has 660 total laps in eight races this season. Hamlin has led at least one lap in six of the last seven races.

Hamlin finished sixth in today’s race at Pocono, his ninth top-10 finish in 14 races.

Hamlin finished on the lead lap for the 10th consecutive NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race.

Hamlin is third in the NEXTEL Cup Series championship standings, five points behind second-place Matt Kenseth and 247 behind leader Jeff Gordon. He leads fourth-place Jimmie Johnson by 58 points.

Jeff Gordon leads Tony Stewart (4-3) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.
