KASEY KAHNE QUOTES:
“Winning races and scoring more points than the 12 drivers in the Chase would make the last 10 races more enjoyable and give a disappointing season a positive ending. We’re not in the Chase, but we’re going to do everything we can to finish the season on a winning note and have our program ready for the 2008 season. We’ve had three good races with top-10 finishes. That was the first step we needed to take – consistent top-10 finishes. Kenny (Francis, team director) and the crew have made a lot of improvements with our Dodge Avenger since the first race at Bristol. That effort has produced positive results.
“Track position is critical at New Hampshire. In the final 100 laps, some teams will gamble on two tires as a trade for track position. If we can get the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Avenger to handle in the corners, that will be the key. When the car doesn’t handle in the corners at New Hampshire, you’re in for a difficult day.”
