Loudon’s No. 36 Camry…The 360 OTC Racing team will utilize chassis No. 15 this weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway. This is the same car Jeremy Mayfield drove the last time the series visited the Loudon, N.H., track.
Double Duty…Trip Bruce, who normally serves as crew chief for Johnny Benson’s No. 23 team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will do double duty again this weekend by serving as crew chief for the No. 36 Cup team. Joe Lax will return next week for the event in Dover, Delaware.
Mayfield’s Career Stats…Mayfield hopes to make his 415th career NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series start when he takes the green flag Sunday afternoon. Mayfield made his first career Cup Series start in October 1993 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway and finished 26th (qualified 37th) in his first Cup Series start in Loudon in 1994.
Mayfield in Loudon…Mayfield has made 22 starts on the 1.058-mile oval during his Cup Series career and has started inside the top 10 on seven occasions. He has also earned two top-10 finishes at the New Hampshire track.
BDR at NHIS…Competitors driving Bill Davis Racing-owned cars have been racing at the track since 1993 and have made 36 starts. Those drivers have posted one top-five finish and four top-10 finishes, including a victory in 2002.
Loudon’s Broadcast Schedule…Qualifying for Sunday afternoon’s event is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14. The 300-lap event is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET Sunday, Sept. 16, and will broadcast LIVE on ABC (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio.
