David Stremme Advance
New Hampshire International Speedway

Race: New England 300 on Sunday, July 1
Track: New Hampshire International Speedway (1-mile oval)
Location: Loudon, N.H.

David Stremme and the No. 40 Coors Wide Mouth Can Dodge Team Facts:

  • Wide Mouth Can Paint Scheme: For the second time this season, the Coors Wide Mouth Can paint scheme will run on the No. 40 Dodge. Earlier this season the paint scheme ran at Pocono where Stremme recorded a personal best finish of 23rd at the track.

  • Pub Crawl: David Stremme will participate in the Coors Light Annual Pub Tour Friday night from 7-9pm in and around the Concord, N.H. area in advance of Sunday’s New England 300. Stremme and guests from Capitol Distributors (the local Coors distributor) will hit four local area pubs so keep your eyes open for the Coors Light crew Friday night.

  • DirecTV Hot Pass: DirecTV “Hot Pass” will feature the No. 40 team this Sunday as Stremme and crew make their fourth Hot Pass appearance of the season. They will be one of five teams featured at Loudon. Subscribers can watch all of the action from the No. 40 car and pit area on DirecTV channel 795.

  • New Englander On Board: Doug Riepe, the rear-tire carrier for the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline team, is a native New Englander hailing from Danbury, Conn. He is a 2000 graduate of Immaculate High School, and was named the 2000 Connecticut State Athlete of the Year. He moved to North Carolina in the fall of 2000 to pursue a higher education at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, N.C., where he played for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team for four years and then graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Riepe came to CGRFS that following fall to work as an intern in the sponsorship relations department and has stayed on with the team ever since. You will also find him in the pits on Sundays, carrying tires for the No. 40 CGRFS NEXTEL Cup team.

  • Previous Best Finish: Did you know Stremme’s first career NNCS Cup race at Loudon (Spring, 2006) was his career-best finish at that point? Since then, Stremme has equaled or bettered that result three times in 2007 with finishes of 11th (Daytona 500), 10th (Texas) and eighth (Talladega).

  • Standings Update: Stremme and the No. 40 Coors Banquet car finished 32nd in his road course debut at Sonoma last Sunday. The team slipped one spot to 23rd in the NNCS point standings and is -374 markers back of the 12th and final transfer spot in the chase for the NEXTEL Cup.

  • Chassis Selection: Crew Chief Steve Lane and the Coors Wide Mouth Can team have selected #632 for this weekend’s Car of Tomorrow event. Previously Stremme ran chassis #632 at Richmond this season where he started 21st and finished 38th after contact eliminated him from the race.
