WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE UAW-DAIMLERCHRYSLER 400 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES RACE AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, MARCH 11, 2007.

Jeff Gordon led three times for 111 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400. Gordon took the honor for the first time this season. Gordon collected a 10-point bonus for leading the most laps of any driver in the race.

Gordon has led at least one lap in two of the first three races this season.

Gordon finished second in today’s race at Las Vegas, his second top-five and third top-10 in three races this season. He crossed the finish line 2.795 seconds behind race winner Jimmie Johnson.

UNOFFICIALLY Gordon is second in the NEXTEL Cup Series championship standings, six points behind leader Mark Martin. Gordon leads third-place Jeff Burton by 36 points and fourth-place Johnson by 83.
