David Stremme and the No. 40 Target Dodge Team Facts:
Stremme Right on Target: As Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) continues to celebrate its long heritage with Target Racing, which has been with the team for 18 years making it one of the longest racing relationships in history, David Stremme and the No. 40 team will again be sporting the white and red Target paint scheme in this weekend’s Bank of America 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The last time the No. 40 Dodge was in the signature Target red and white came in September at the California Speedway.
Standings: Stremme and the No. 40 team picked up one spot in the NNCS point standings (26th to 25th) with their 17th place finish at Talladega. Stremme had a solid run at the Superspeedway, finding himself near the front of the pack for most of the race.
Chassis: Crew chief Steve Lane and the No. 40 team have selected chassis #710 for this weekend’s race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Chassis #710 has seen the track twice this season, the first time coming back in September at California Speedway. Bad luck spoiled the night for the No. 40 Coors Dodge in California. The team had a 21st-place qualifying effort and a strong early performance, but was never able to recover after an incident that left them 34th.
Be Sure to Tune In: The green flag is set to wave Saturday, October 13th at 7 p.m. E.T. at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The NEXTEL Championship’s only night race, The Bank of America 500 will air live on ABC, MRN Radio, and Sirius Satellite Race channel 128.
