Lowe’s Toyota…The No. 36 360 OTC Toyota Jeremy Mayfield is scheduled to drive in the Bank of America 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., is chassis No. 107. This is the same car Mayfield drove to a 22nd-place finish two weeks ago at Kansas Speedway.
Mayfield’s Career Stats…Mayfield hopes to make his 416th career NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series start when the green flag waves Saturday evening. Lowe’s Motor Speedway was the site of Mayfield’s first career Cup Series start. Mayfield qualified 30th and finished 29th at that event in October 1993.
Mayfield at LMS…Mayfield has made 26 starts on the 1.5-mile oval during his Cup Series career and has started inside the top 10 on six occasions, including one outside pole position in 2006. He has also earned seven top-10 finishes in competition at the track, including five consecutive top-10 finishes from 1999 to 2001.
BDR at LMS…Competitors driving Bill Davis Racing-owned cars have been racing at the Concord track since 1993 and have made 40 starts. Those drivers have posted three top-five finishes and 11 top-10 finishes.
Listen and Watch…Qualifying for the Bank of America 500 is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11. The 344-lap event is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday, Oct. 13, and will broadcast LIVE on ABC (TV), PRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio.
