Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion, was the fastest driver in happy hour. Edwards, who will start 39th in tomorrow night’s Coca-Cola 600, spoke about his practice session just before driver introductions for the Busch Series race.

CARL EDWARDS – No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion – “The car is real good. I’m glad it’s a 600-mile race. We can try real hard to make it up to the front. The car is great. I’m real excited. It’s really nice to run practice. It feels like a lot of those races we’ve had before, where the car just feels great. We’re fast and I’m really looking forward to it.” DID YOU HAVE CONSISTENCY OVER THE RUN BESIDES HAVING THE FAST LAP? “Yeah, from our calculations we had the lowest average lap time on one set of tires, so that’s awesome.”
