Ragan on racing in the at Lowe’s Motor Speedway:
“Last weekend definitely had its ups and downs. On the high side we qualified second for the race and ran well throughout the first segment of the Open. On the low side we spun out in the second segment and didn’t finish the race. So from all of that I would say that I think we will be pretty good at Charlotte once we get a chance to adjust our racecar a little bit. My car was way too loose on Saturday once the temperature dropped a little and we never got the opportunity to adjust for that with such a short race. I like the track and I think I became a little bit more familiar with it after Saturday night so we are looking forward to getting a good finish in and putting on a good show for the Charlotte fans.”
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Lowe’s Motor Speedway:
“We are taking the car that we ran at California and then wrecked at Las Vegas. We got it all fixed up and ready to go again and it should be a pretty good car for the [Coca Cola] 600. We just have to make sure that we stay out of trouble. 600 miles is a long race and there is going to be a lot of wrecking going on between lap 1 and lap 600. We will have to keep our spotter on his toes and keep David out of the messes. We need to get another top-10 or 15 to get David back up there in the rookie race. He learned a little bit about the track this weekend and he is running the Busch car this Saturday before the cup race so that should be a big help.”
