Juan Pablo Montoya and the No. 42 Texaco Havoline Dodge Team Facts:
Standings: Juan Pablo Montoya and the Texaco/Havoline team sit in the 23rd spot in the NASCAR
NEXTEL Cup standings following their 43rd-place finish in Michigan last weekend. It was Montoya and the
team’s first DNF (Did Not Finish) in 15 races this season.
Infineon: Montoya has plenty of experience on road courses, having won five events in CART for
Chip Ganassi Racing in 1999 and 2000. He also has seven victories on the Formula One circuit.
However, his experience in Sonoma is limited to a three-day racing school in 1992 when he was just 16-
years-old.
Opportunity of a Lifetime: Chevron Global Marketing announced the kick off of the Texaco 42
Days of Racing promotion with a grand prize race package featuring a trip to the final six stock car races
of the 2007 season and a chance to meet Montoya. Other prizes include a 2008 Dodge Avenger R,
autographed racing caps and Texaco gift cards. Race fans can enter the sweepstakes online at
www.42DaysOfRacing.com. Throughout the Texaco 42 Days of Racing, which concludes July 28,
customers will receive free, with any gas purchase, a limited edition Montoya No. 42 Texaco/Havoline
race team 32-ounce collector fountain cup. The sweepstakes’ highly coveted grand prize package is a
race fan’s dream, including roundtrip airfare, lodging, deluxe transportation, and two premiere tickets to
each of the last six races of the 2007 stock car season.
All Access: Montoya and the Texaco/Havoline team will be one of the featured teams on
DIRECTV’s NASCAR Hotpass for the NEXTEL Cup race in Sonoma. The Hotpass subscription allows fans
to follow Montoya and the team throughout the entire race with in-depth reporting, real time statistics
and live race audio. The Texaco/Havoline team will be featured on channel 799 on Sunday.
In addition, Montoya and the team will also be featured on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Driver2Crew
Chatter. Driver2Crew Chatter puts fans in the car and in the pits. Fans can listen to Montoya’s
radio communication with crew chief Donnie Wingo, Spotter Tab Boyd and the rest of the
Texaco/Havoline Team.
Rookie Race: Montoya leads David Ragan by four points (159-155) in the NEXTEL Cup
Raybestos® Rookie standings after his 43rd-place finish last weekend. The best finish by a Rookie at
Infineon Raceway is ninth, which is shared by Kenny Irwin (1998) in the Texaco/Havoline car and Ryan
Newman (2002).
Chassis: Wingo and the Texaco/Havoline team have selected chassis #741 for this weekend’s
race at Infineon Raceway. This is the first race for the new CoT on a road course and Montoya’s first
competitive race on the 1.99-mile road course.
Hamlin in Milwaukee: Kevin Hamlin will pilot the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Busch car again for the
third straight weekend at The Milwaukee Mile. This will be the fourth race for Hamlin, who is celebrating
his birthday on Friday, in the No. 42 Dodge. Hamlin finished 21st at Kentucky Speedway last weekend.
