SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“This is a big weekend for the whole Stanley Tools/Valvoline team with the Racing for a Miracle program that is raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. We are going to be visiting Riley Hospital for Children on Thursday. I get to meet the patient that designed my helmet for this weekend’s race.

“The team has made a lot of changes to our cars over the off weekend and we will be bringing our very best equipment to the Allstate 400. Qualifying on Saturday is going to be especially competitive since it is in the morning. The temperature change and qualifying draw will affect it, but we hope to not need that extra bit of help. We had a decent qualifying run at Indy last year and we will be looking for more of the same this weekend.”

QUICK FACTS:

  • Ace Hardware and Children’s Miracle Network logos will be on the bumper of the No. 10 Stanley Tools/Valvoline Dodge this weekend as part of the Racing for a Miracle fundraiser that has risen over $100,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network.
  • Riggs will be wearing a special flame inspired helmet designed drawn by a 13-year old Katie Freund, a patient at Indianapolis based Riley Hospital for Children.
  • If Scott Riggs wins the Allstate 400 this weekend, sponsor Stanley Tools will donate $500,000 to the Children’s Miracle Network.
