Candy Land: Reed Sorenson attended the 2007 All Candy Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill., on Monday as a guest of CGRFS partner Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. Sorenson signed autographs and chatted with customers at the Wrigley display area that included new product samples and the No. 41 Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit® Dodge show car.
#41: Did you know the Dave Matthews Band has a song titled #41? The band played in the Charlotte, N.C., area on Wednesday evening at the amphitheater just down the road from the CGRFS race shop and Sorenson was scheduled to attend (hoping to catch the show before heading to Dover for the 28th race weekend of the 2007 season).
Chassis: Crew chief Jimmy Elledge and the Target team have selected chassis #734 for Dover. This CoT chassis has previously competed at Martinsville (25th), the first Richmond (21st) and most recently in the second Bristol race (15th).
Points Update: Sorenson and the Target team moved up two positions, to 23rd ,in the overall NEXTEL Cup Series driver standings with their 14th-place finish in the last event at New Hampshire. The team is 160 points out of 20th with nine races remaining in the 2007 season.
