SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“I am looking forward to going to Darlington this weekend. This is a great opportunity for us to get this Stanley Tools/Valvoline Avenger back into the top 35 in owner’s points. That is our primary goal. We will have to spend all of our first practice session working on qualifying instead of race trim. However, it isn’t a qualifying/impound race like our last two so there will be an opportunity to work on race setup after qualifying. The last two weekends we have been awesome in qualifying and then struggled during the race due to the impound procedure. Hopefully we can improve on that this weekend. “

QUICK FACTS:

  • This will be the first time that Stanley Tools will adorn the hood of the COT Dodge Avenger.
  • Riggs currently sits 34 markers outside of the top 35 in Nextel Cup Owner’s Points.
  • In the four COT races this year Riggs has an average start of 10.2.
  • Riggs will also be piloting the No. 9 Charter Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Busch Series race on Friday night, He has a top-five finish and has led 25 laps in his four Busch starts at Darlington.
