“It’s is always exciting to run a special paint scheme, especially at Daytona under the lights. We’ve run some cars with Adam Sandler movies on them in the past and they’ve always been a big hit. The last movie scheme we ran was in Michigan last year. We were fortunate enough to take that car to victory lane and hopefully we’ll be able to have the same success this weekend. We had a great run at the Daytona 500. Hopefully we’ll have that same kind of success this time around.”

Kahne will be running a special paint scheme on the No. 9 this weekend in honor of the new Adam Sandler movie, “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry”. It stars Sandler, Kevin James and Jessica Biel.
Kahne’s best finish of the season in the Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge came at the Daytona 500 when he finished seventh.
The seventh-place finish earlier this year at DIS was his career best at 2.5 mile tri-oval.
Kahne has just one DNF in seven starts at Daytona. He’s logged 1,130 laps at the legendary speedway.
The No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW team continues to move up in the owner point standings. The Evernham Motorsports entry is currently 27th, less than 70 points out of 23rd.
