Tony Stewart, No. 20 Home Depot Monte Carlo SS missed the majority of the second and final practice session for Sunday's Budweiser Pole qualifying due to a mechanical issue with the car.

Q - What happened to the car during practice today?

"We had a fuel pressure problem. We switched from mechanical to the cable-driven fuel pump and we had a little bit of an issue with that. The cable stripped out so we are talking about what we need to do to keep that from hopefully happening again."

Q - Tony (Stewart) seemed very happy with the car once he got on the track.

"The car is ok. It is the same old car we have had here for I think the last eight races including last year's July race he won. I wish we had both practices today. The first practice we had a caution thrown at us so we didn't get to make that run. This session we had the fuel pressure problem so we didn't get that run, so we really only made one legitimate run and we were obviously good enough to land in the top - 10. I said if we could come down here and qualify in the top-15 I think we will be pretty happy. We definitely have a better race car than we have a qualifier.
