McMurray on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“I can’t wait to get back down to Daytona. It’s always exciting to get back in the racecar – this year especially. We’re starting the season with Larry Carter as the crew chief and with him came a whole new No. 26 team. We have a new car chief Todd Zeigler; he was with Mark’s (Martin) team last year. We have a new engineer, tire specialist, shock specialist; basically, a whole new team. When we came down here for testing, I was certainly impressed with what we had. This is a new body on the Crown Royal Ford Fusion, and a really fast engine to go with it. I’m excited to get this season started out on the right foot and I think with the team we put together during the off season, we are going to have a great year.”
Crew Chief Larry Carter on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“Daytona is a great track for us to kick off the 2007 season. Roush Racing has a good plate program, and it seems they are constantly improving on it. While we were down in Daytona a few weeks ago, the car really handled well and was pretty decent in the draft. Hopefully, with a few changes we made back at the shop over the last couple of weeks, we should run really well. I know the entire No. 26 team is excited to get back down to Daytona and get the season underway.”
