SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“I’m looking forward to the new look on our Charger this weekend with Sears Auto Center on board. California is a track that we had some strong runs at last year. I remember at one point all three of our cars were running one, two, and three with Kasey, Elliott, and myself. But in the spring this year it was a big disappointment because we were involved in a wreck early in the race and didn’t have a chance to come away with a good finish. Hopefully the
momentum from the strong weekend Gillett Evernham Motorsports had at Bristol last week will carry over to California this week.”
QUICK FACTS:
Riggs qualifies well at California Speedway. In seven starts he has started in the top-10 four times.
His average start at the 2-mile oval is 11.9.
After the results of the Valvoline/Stanley Tools performance last weekend at Bristol the No. 10 is now 109 points out of 36th spot in Owner points.
Riggs currently sits 37th in Nextel Cup owner points and will need to qualifying for this weekend’s race on time.
