First-Timer: For the first time in his young NNCS career (39 starts), Stremme will share the media spotlight with the nine other top contenders for the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup. Media availability begins 1:30 PM PT on Friday February 23rd at the 40 CGRFS Hauler.
Fast out of the Gate: Stremme is coming off tying a career-best finish of 11th to open the season at DIS (Loudon, Homestead 2006).
It’s Quality, not Quantity: The Daytona 500 Box Score revealed Stremme topped the list for “most quality passes” with 229 – 14 more than his nearest competition (Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth).
Daytona Determination: Stremme was third overall in the “Most Laps in the Top-15” category at Daytona with 186 of 200 laps run in the top-15, or 92.1%. Only Kyle Busch (201 laps, 99.5%) and Matt Kenseth (190, 94.1%) had better numbers in the category, but only managed to finish 24th and 27th, respectively.
