SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“I can’t wait to fire up the Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge in the Bud Shootout on Saturday night to start the year off. This was a really short off season, but when we left Homestead in November, we never wanted the season to end. I felt like this Valvoline Evernham Racing team was just getting the consistency we were looking for all year and we did not want to lose that momentum. The Shootout will be a great way to kick things off. I think a lot of folks overlooked the fact that, before we missed the 500 last year, we had a fourth-place finish in this race, and it was our first event together as a new team.
“The best thing about our team right now is that everybody stayed on board. That shows the confidence we have in each other. Lately we have been focused as a team and I want us to keep that through the whole year.”
