SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“I am looking forward to Atlanta this weekend. We didn’t get a chance to really show what we had in the spring because of the engine failure. The chassis we are bringing this weekend has been rebuilt to be more like the chassis we raced at Charlotte a couple of races ago. I have just four races left with this Valvoline Evernham Racing team before we part ways in 2008, but this team is as hungry now as ever for a top finish or a win that would represent what we have achieved over the past two seasons.”

QUICK FACTS:

  • In the spring race at Atlanta Motor Speedway last year Riggs qualified 29th and finished 11th.
  • Riggs’ best finish at Atlanta was ninth, coming in the spring of 2005.
  • Earlier this year Riggs qualified 10th at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
  • Riggs is coming off his fourth best run of the season. He finished 16th at Martinsville last week.
