KASEY KAHNE QUOTES
“The last six races have been disappointing for the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger team. After the win at Michigan, we’ve had only one top-10 finish, an eighth at New Hampshire. We have to change that these next five races. We need to run in the top 10, be consistent and hopefully win a couple of races. If we get the race performance back to our potential, the Chase will take care of itself.

“We had a good test at VIR (Virginia International Raceway in Danville, Va.) in preparation for Watkins Glen. I think we’ve made progress with our road-course program and I have improved as a driver. We are capable of having a good run at Watkins Glen.

“There’s a lot of pressure on every driver out there each week, especially those in the battle for a spot in the Chase. It’s not that we haven’t been doing everything possible to perform well and win the past six races. We’ve worked as hard as we did in winning four races. Now, we have to step up and make it happen in these next five races. The first step comes at Watkins Glen.”
