PREVIEW: KYLE BUSCH (NO. 5 KELLOGG'S CHEVROLET)
VENUE: WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL (2.45-MILE ROAD COURSE)
CIRCUIT: NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES (RACE 22 OF 36)
EVENT: SUNDAY, AUG. 13 (90 LAPS, 220 MILES)
KELLOGG'S TEAM ROLLING: Kyle Busch's seventh-place finish Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway marked his seventh consecutive top-15 performance. It was also his 11th top-10 result in 21 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races this season. Only four drivers -- Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick -- have more.
THE DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES: At this time one year ago, Busch and the No. 5 Kellogg's Chevrolet team were 20th in the NEXTEL Cup championship standings heading into the 22nd race of 2005. This season, Busch and company are tied for fourth in points after 21 events, an improvement of 18 positions over their rookie campaign.
SECOND TIME AROUND: Busch has made only one NEXTEL Cup start at the 2.45-mile Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International road course, where he started 22nd and finished 33rd in his track debut last season.
CAR SELECTION: Crew chief Alan Gustafson has selected Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 324 as the primary option for Sunday's race at Watkins Glen. The team tested the brand new car at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) last week.
'5' WINS PIT CREW CHALLENGE: The No. 5 Kellogg's crew won their fourth Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge last weekend at Indianapolis, moving the team into a tie for first place with the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports squad.

KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG'S CHEVROLET: (ON THE TIGHT POINTS RACE.) "I try not to look at it or think about it because it's just one more thing to worry about. All year, Alan (Gustafson) has been telling me to race my race and let the crew do their job. It's only 158 points to 11th place (in the standings) and it could easily be us next week. But we aren't looking back, we're just looking forward, and if we keep doing what we're doing then we'll be in the same spot we are now after Richmond (Va.)."
BUSCH: (ON ADRIAN FERNANDEZ BEING A TEAMMATE IN THE BUSCH SERIES RACE.) "I'm so glad Adrian is running the Busch Series race because I'm going to be over there, just being a sponge. Road courses are his forte and I really learned a lot the last time I raced with him. I hope to follow him for a few laps and debrief with him afterward. As a driver, you can never stop learning."

ALAN GUSTAFSON, CREW CHIEF OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG'S CHEVROLET: (ON ROAD COURSES.) "Our finishes at the road courses do not reflect what kind of cars we've had. We've run well, but have never been able to finish the deal. Kyle learned a lot the past two seasons on how to get around these road courses. Watkins Glen doesn't have the elevation changes that Infineon has, but it's just as hard. We tested at VIR last week and I think we have a good enough car. I hate to say we're points racing, but at this point, we're just trying to keep the solid top-10 finishes going to stay where we are in the standings."
GUSTAFSON: (ON THE PIT CREW PITTING THE CAR FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE.) "This is the only race where pit road is essentially backwards -- meaning the car is coming into the pits on the opposite side than we are used to. We should have no problem adapting because we practice during the week and the guys have been on their game. We need to make sure to qualify the car in a decent position and get a good pit stall so the team can have room to work."
GUSTAFSON: (ON THE CALL AT INDIANAPOLIS TO STAY OUT IN THE CLOSING LAPS.) "We were so tight all day long and just couldn't get a handle on the car. The decision to stay out was a total gamble, and it ended up being the difference in running 30th or 10th. We led some, but the teams with four tires were going to get us. If we stayed out and won the race, we would have been the biggest heroes out there, but finishing seventh after a long day like we had was good enough for me. It's like the saying, 'Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.' We were lucky this time."
