“We had a strong run at Texas Motor Speedway in the spring. The Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge finished seventh but on the long runs we had a car that was capable of running top five or leading. We are bringing back the same chassis for this Texas race as well. There is a different paint scheme this weekend as we are promoting the release of Disney’s ‘Cars’ movie on DVD. This whole Valvoline Evernham Racing crew has been working hard recently to improve our results and finish the year out strong. We will be focused on bringing home a top finish this weekend to help.”
QUICK FACTS:
The No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge qualified 22nd and finished seventh at with a very fast Charger late in the race at Texas Motor Speedway this spring.
Jeff Seaberg, No. 10 transporter driver won the Pilot Truck Drivers Challenge last weekend at Atlanta. This weekend at Texas he will compete in the final round of the Freightliner truck driver challenge which is currently down to only two drivers.
Riggs has one top-five, seven-top 10s, and two poles so far this season in Nextel Cup. He has led 131 laps in 2006, compared to 18 laps in 2005, and 15 laps in 2005.
This weekend the Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge will sport the same Disney’s “Cars” paint scheme that they ran so well with in the 600 at Lowe’s in May. This time it is to celebrate the DVD release of “Cars” on November 7th.
