Robby Gordon’s Quotes on Texas
You scored your first top-10 finish at Atlanta last weekend and with Texas having a similar layout, do you think another top 10 is a realistic goal?
“I think a top-five finish is a realistic goal. We’ve made significant strides in our intermediate program and it showed last weekend after finishing in the top 10 despite the trouble we had late in the race. The car we’re bringing to Texas is one of Greg Erwin’s (crew chief) favorites and we are hopeful that, if we don’t have any issues like last weekend, we can put Menards and Mapei in the top five for their last race as the primary sponsor this season. Like I said last week, we’ve had some rotten luck these last couple of weeks and I think it’s about time that one is owed to us and hopefully we get payment in the form of a win.”
