EVENT: SUNDAY, NOV. 5, 2006 (334 LAPS, 501 MILES)

'25' SHOWING CONSISTENCY: With a 19th-place result Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the GMAC Racing team earned its sixth top-20 finish in seven races, dating back to New Hampshire in September. During the stretch, the team has moved from 20th to 15th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series standings while maintaining an average finish of 12.7.

CHASSIS 384: GMAC Racing will unload Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 384 when the NEXTEL Cup Series returns to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, marking the car's fifth race of the season. It most recently recorded a 10th-place finish last month at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

BRIAN VICKERS, DRIVER OF THE NO. 25 GMAC CHEVROLET: (HOW CLOSE IS TEXAS TO LOWE'S MOTOR SPEEDWAY IN TERMS OF CONFIGURATION?) "I don't think Texas is anywhere close to Lowe's. It has less banking, wider turns and the straightaways are pulled further apart. The track is still just as fast (as Lowe's), but with less banking."

VICKERS: (AS THE TEXAS TRACK HAS BECOME OLDER, WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MORE NOTICEABLE CHARACTERISTICS OF IT?) "Some bumps have grown up high in the grooves. It's like the racing groove has wanted to move up high -- and it has -- but you have to be real careful because there are some real big bumps crossing the tunnels that can upset the car."

VICKERS: (HOW DO YOU ATTEMPT TO HANDLE THE BUMPS AND MINIMIZE THEIR EFFECT?) "Ideally, you'd like to be coasting and not on the gas. You don't want to be full throttle or accelerating through the bump. You just pause for a second with the gas, cross the bump and then go back down with the throttle."

VICKERS: (HAS THE TRACK BECOME MORE COMPETITIVE IN RECENT YEARS?) "Last fall we took the lead from Mark Martin on the outside. It says a lot about a track of that size because it's one thing to be passing 20th on the outside, but to be able to make a pass on the outside for the lead, that really says a lot about the track and how it's become more mature with age."
