Jamie McMurray on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“I look forward to racing in Texas. I raced well there back when I was driving in the Truck Series and I have a lot of confidence whenever I return to the track. I’ve been fortunate to finish well there since I’ve been in the Cup Series. We struggled in Atlanta so there are some unknowns for us going into this weekend at an intermediate track, but we’re trying a new approach toward our set-ups that I’m excited about. We’ll see if it works for us again.”
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“We’re bringing a brand new car to Texas. I think it will be a good one for us. We went our own way last weekend at Martinsville with our set-up and it worked out fairly well for us. We were looking for a top-ten finish and we were able to accomplish that. Jamie has a good record at Texas, as does this team. We’re looking to build upon the solid finish we had at Martinsville and get a little momentum going.”
