TEXAS ADVANCE
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series: Samsung/RadioShack 500
Texas Motor Speedway, Apr. 6-9
Greg Biffle
Team: No. 16 National Guard/Subway Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Doug Richert
Chassis: RK-239 (Vegas and California ‘06)
Biffle on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“I really enjoy racing at Texas and this time we’re coming back as the defending race winners, so that adds a little to it. We’re bringing back the car that we raced this year at California and Vegas and won with last year at Michigan and Homestead. Another win and another set of cowboy hats would be huge for the team this weekend. We’ve had a little bad luck this year but we’ve got some really good tracks coming up and I know the team’s ready for them.”
Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:
“We’re taking a car this weekend that has proven to run well at the intermediate type tracks. We won with it twice last year and probably should have had a couple of wins with it this year. It’s always fun to go back to a track where you’ve won and try to make it two in a row. We lost a little in the points last week but we’ve got Texas, Phoenix, Richmond and Darlington coming up and those should be good tracks for us. Talladega is a roll of the dice but I’d say it’s about time for our luck to turn around.”
