SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
“I can’t wait to get on track at Richmond this weekend. Last time we drove the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Dodge Charger paint scheme in New Hampshire, we came home with a top 10 and we will be looking to improve on that result this weekend. As a team, we have defined our goal for the end of the season and it is to finish in the top 15 in points. This weekend, I will get some extra seat time in the Wisk Dodge on the Busch side and that should help us in the Cup car. We ran very strong at Richmond in the spring, but I got caught up in a wreck in the closing laps and we had to settle for 14th. I am confident in our setup and equipment and I want to improve on that result.”

RODNEY CHILDERS QUOTE:
“We had a successful test session at Milwaukee last week, so I feel good about the chassis and setup package we will run in our Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Dodge Charger this weekend at Richmond. Just like Bristol a couple of weeks ago, our guys place a high importance on running well at these short tracks because that is where our backgrounds are. This team has a lot of momentum heading into this weekend and we want to use that to help us get into the top 15 in points by the end of the season. That is our goal.”

QUICK FACTS:

  • Scott Riggs posted a 17th-place finish at California Speedway last weekend after running much of the race in the top five.

  • The No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Charger has been running at the end of all 24 Cup races in which it has competed this season as well as both exhibition races (Shootout and All-Star).
  • Riggs will also drive the No. 9 Wisk Dodge in the Busch Series race this weekend at Richmond.
  • Since missing the field for the Daytona 500, Valvoline Evernham Racing has climbed from 44th to 19th in owners points.
