Kenseth on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“Richmond is one of the best tracks we race at. It’s a short track with a lot of speed, but it also has room to pass. We always seem to run good there, whether it’s in the Cup Series or Busch Series. I think it’s one of the best tracks as far as balancing what the fans want and what the drivers want; Richmond does that as good as anyone. I’m looking forward to this weekend. We’re running the Ameriquest car on Friday night and the DEWALT car on Saturday. We had good tests at Richmond in both cars and I expect us to be competitive in both races this weekend.”
Crew Chief Robbie Reiser on racing Richmond International Raceway:
“We’re bringing the same car to Richmond that we took to Phoenix earlier this year. It tested really well at Richmond, but then we struggled a little bit with the balance at Phoenix. It was a good car at Phoenix, just not quite what we thought it would be after testing at Richmond just a week earlier. But, there are several things that could have factored into that, plus the fact that Phoenix isn’t Richmond. We’re pretty confident in the car we’re bringing and we’re hoping to continue the momentum we’ve built of late by running well at Richmond on Saturday night.”
