Biffle on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“Richmond is one of my favorite tracks just because it’s always good racing there. There’s room to pass and it’s a well-designed track, so that makes for a good show for the fans. It’s also a night race, which makes it that much more exciting for the fans. For some reason, racing under the lights seems to add to the excitement too. We’re taking a car to Richmond that we tested there a few weeks ago and I feel pretty good about it. We raced it at Phoenix and had a good run there until we ran out of fuel, so this just might be a good weekend for us.”
Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Richmond International Raceway:
“We’re taking a car this weekend that we tested at Richmond a few weeks ago and we just felt it was the better of the two cars we took to the test. It’s the same car we raced at Phoenix and we feel pretty confident bringing it back to Richmond. I always enjoy the night races, not just because they seem more exciting but also because track temperature isn’t really a factor. Without the sun and shadows, the track temperature is more consistent and one less thing to affect the handling of the car. I think you’ll see good side-by-side racing on Saturday night and hopefully the National Guard car will be there at the end for a good finish.”
